Before any contractors get to work on starting your build or remodel, our team will work with you on all the aspects of the construction process. It’s a lot more than just design, procurement, and hiring a construction firm. 

Before construction begins, our duties include an overview of the market for labor, materials, and interest rates. Be mindful of how these aspects can influence price escalations and material availability before we even start. We manage and advise on:

  • Evaluation of design to make sure it addresses all of your concerns and needs
  • Coordinating public bond issuance, private financing, and economic incentives
  • Securing permits and the entitlement approval processes
  • Creating a preliminary project schedule 
  • Creating budget estimates and pro formas to ensure the project stays within the overall budget.
  • Evaluation and award of all architects, engineers, and contractors to fit the project needs

Labor and Talent: When it comes to the selection and management of the design professionals and their work, as well as all the construction solutions providers and their work, that responsibility can fall to us as your pre-construction consultant. We will assist in evaluating and awarding all contractors and vendors to ensure there are no scope issues, including utility providers.

Scheduling and Follow-Up: At the start of this phase, we will take control of the design schedule and include any necessary redesign adjustments to keep your project on schedule. Throughout construction planning, we will regularly evaluate the design to make sure it addresses all your concerns and needs.
